چکیده

case presentation we present a case of a grade iii coronary perforation in which the double guiding catheter technique helped us to deliver the graft stent. conclusions the double-guiding technique is useful in emergency situations to increase the safety and efficacy of sealing a coronary perforation. introduction coronary vessel perforation is one of the most feared complications of coronary angioplasty. the treatment of this complication relies mostly on the implantation of covered stents. however, due to their design, covered stents are difficult to advance in a tortuous or calcified vessel.

An alternative treatment for iatrogenic coronary perforation.

The perforation or rupture of the coronary artery during percutaneous intervention is a feared complication, despite its relatively low incidence (0.2%-0.8% of all interventions1). This is due to its high mortality rate, and patients have a worse prognosis in the shortand medium-term than the total population undergoing revascularization procedures. Among the possible factors predicting its app...

Iatrogenic colonic perforation: repair using laparoscopic technique.

BACKGROUND Iatrogenic colonic perforation is a rare complication of colonoscopies. Nowadays, there are still no specific guidelines for the optimal management of these complications (open surgery with colonic resection and anastomosis or colonic diversion, primary repair, endoscopic clips, nonoperative management, and laparoscopic approach). METHODS A retrospective analysis of 9 patients oper...

Iatrogenic IVC Perforation after Successful Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis

Central vein perforation as a rare complication of venous interventions is considered a nightmare if occurring in thoracic cage but behaves benignly in abdominal or pelvic region. This is not a rule, as we unfortunately encountered during the procedure of venous intervention in our patient. Although mechanical control of iatrogenic perforation or rupture is the first and most critical step duri...

Coronary arteriovenous fistula secondary to iatrogenic coronary perforation.

A 69-year-old woman with hypertension was admitted for an acute coronary syndrome. Emergency coronary angiography showed a long, bifurcated, calcified lesion in the left anterior descending artery (LAD). An interventional procedure was performed by predilations with an expandable and a nonexpandable balloon. Following the last inflation, angiography showed LAD occlusion due to a perforation, wh...

[A case of successful endoscopic clipping for iatrogenic colon perforation induced by peritoneal catheter insertion].

Advanced cancer patients with refractory ascites often do not respond to conventional treatments including dietary sodium restriction, diuretics, and repeated large volume paracentesis. In these patients, continuous peritoneal drainage by an indwelling catheter may be an effective option for managing refractory ascites with a relative low complication rate. Peritoneal catheter-induced complicat...
